After a very long (long, long, long…) ‘hiatus’ from game development to focus on a lot of other things within the Digital Empire, we’re back and want to let you know where we stand with Consumed and our other development projects.
Over the past couple of years, we have spent less time than we would have liked developing Consumed and working on Fallout Games in general. Instead, we have focused on the rest of the Digital Empire: our web presense, writing, music, programming, gaming news, and more.
Now things have come full circle, however, and we are back on track with Consumed development. Other than being highly under-staffed for a large game project, we are closer than ever before to truly being able to deliver a stellar product for gamers to enjoy.
Unfortunately, Consumed game development has been completely re-started (I know, this is not the first time, either), because the work we did before simply isn’t relevant to high-quality game development standards today.
Due to our becoming part of The Digital Empire, our parent company, we have access to some amazing tools and services.
Thanks to SingularityShift, DE’s development network, we have the development tools we need to collaborate remotely and get some high-quality development work out in very little time.
Thanks to Shattered Audio, DE’s industrial label, we now have an in-house recording studio providing all the tools we need to record and edit all-new sound effects for the game. Shattered’s premier artist, Broken, will also be providing an all-new and original industrial soundtrack for the game.
Thanks to digiPress, DE’s online and print publisher, we have an outlet for The Consumed (website coming soon), my novel that provides the basis for the game, as well as other stories surrounding the game lore.
Thanks to PC GameSource, we have an in with the PC gaming media and hopefully soon, a growing fan base of eager gamers.
What does this really mean?
- New and highly original sci-fi/action/horror storyline.
- New sound effects
- An original industrial soundtrack
- New models
- A completely new engine
- Much more!
Look for further information in the coming weeks and months as we pick up the pace and get back into full-scale development.
